Joe Lewis ![]() 20th Oct 2010 10:30:08 | Does anybody know if english airlines (for example BAW, Easyjet, BMI) are allowed over Russian airspace? I recall them not being allowed to, just not sure, talking about real life ofcourse, I recall a Korean Air straying ofcourse and going over russian airspace and being blown out of the sky by the russian airforce, don't know if it's because their korean or is it the same to all non-allied countries? |

And yes your right, there was an occasion where a Korean Plane got shot down by the Soviets, (During the Cold War) because they strayed off course into Russian Airspace. They forgot to put the A/P on INS if I remember rightly. :) |
