| HVDI.dll missing for Team Speak 2? | |
Mike Lewis 26th Feb 2011 19:02:38 | More help for a newbie please.
Trying to install Team Speak 2 and get msg complaining about lack of HVDI.DLL?? Thanks, Mike |
| Stephen Dubbie 26th Feb 2011 19:25:05 | Id suggest trying to re-install it
On another note, they should re-programme all these bugs, to stop them complaining, a nice " your teamspeak wont work :)" would be appreaciated every now and again |
Mike Lewis 26th Feb 2011 19:41:52 | Thanks! |
Monty Howard 22nd May 2011 08:19:42 | I am having the exact same problem. No matter how many attempts at re-installing are performed, including re-downloading Team Speak 2 (TWO) installation, the same annoying error pops up.
I did not have this problem when I installed Team Speak 3 for another application. I wonder, could this be the end for any planned adventure with FSOPEN? That would be a shame. Since this is not really a FSOPEN issue, other than a need to inform the group of this occurrence, I will go and try to deal with Team Speaks support. |
Steff Missot ![]() 22nd May 2011 08:47:30 | Try to find HVDI.DLL on google and try to download it.
Then goto "C:\windows\system32" and place it in there. You should be allright then |
Dave Wave ![]() 22nd May 2011 09:14:11 | You have installed the updated binary. You should install the normal client first. |
Monty Howard 22nd May 2011 12:55:06 | Thanks Dave, that answered my question also. |
Monty Howard 22nd May 2011 13:30:25 | WARNING!!! WARNING!!! WARNING!!!
"Try to find HVDI.DLL on google and try to download it. Then goto "C:\windows\system32" and place it in there. You should be allright then" ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ DO NOT DO THE ABOVE! A downloaded DLL may contain a virus or trojan. Follow the directions below. I found a warning on the TeamSpeak site about this. The reason we all have been getting the message about HVDI.DLL is because we have been trying to run the TeamSpeak 2 client bianary (This is not an install executable - it is a replacement executable for teamspeak.exe once the initial teamspeak client has been installed.) The correct method of installing TeamSpeak is save and run or simply run the TeamSpeak 2 Client (non-binary). After it installs download the TeamSpeak2 client (updated bianary) and replace TeamSpeak.exe with the downloaded updated binary file. As Dave Wave pointed out 2 post above this post. |
