| FSX TWEAK TOOL | |
John Godfrey ![]() 16th Apr 2011 22:04:36 | Hey Guys,
Here's a nice little tweak tool for some people to try out. Read everything! http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html |
Graeme Brown ![]() 3rd May 2011 14:37:11 | Tried this last night. Simple, fast and a great improvement in my frame rates! My system isn't particularly fast. AMD Duo 2.8GHz, GEforce 8600GT, 4Gb Ram. I used to get around 14-20 FPS with scenery settings at medium. Now I can get around 40 FPS with setting set to nearly max!
Thanks to Martin for his help in T/S with this. Also if you do try this make sure you back up your fsx.cfg first, just in case. |

Isak Kindgren ![]() 7th May 2011 07:25:03 | John, when it sais "How many 'CPUs/Threads'
show in task manager?" Where can I find that information and one more thing, HYPERTHREADING, is it avaible with an i5? I have the i5-660 but somewhere on the net I read that you can only find hyperthreading with i7's? Hope you can help me John/ or anyone? -Isak Kindgren :) |
John Godfrey ![]() 7th May 2011 10:56:03 | Hey Isak,
I would recommend experimenting depending on your set up. I have a i7 930 OC 4.01GHZ with HT disabled. With HT disabled I have selected 8 threads and selected NO for the hyper threading active. From my quick research the i5 660 is a dual core (2 CPU's) with 2 threads(4 logical cores) capable of Hyper Threading. Perhaps select 4 then Yes for HT active Any problems let me know. John |
