| Unable to connect | |
Paul Diergaarde 1st Jul 2011 17:23:00 | I am trying to connect to the server for some time now but after two initial flights this has been impossible. In contrast connecting to other servers (gamespy and direct) works fine. Ports are set as described.
In gamespy after the initial connection I'm rejected by the fs.open server. Direct connect cannot find the server. So what's going on? Please some help Thanks, Paul |
David Simon ![]() 1st Jul 2011 19:20:42 | Just to confirm you are using the current IP Address listed on the homepage? |
Steff Missot ![]() 2nd Jul 2011 08:56:59 | If ports are set correctly, maybe try to open up your firewall
Just go into "Windows Firewall", and add FSX. |
Paul Diergaarde 3rd Jul 2011 20:23:46 | Hi,
The IP adress used is correct and even shutting down the firewall does not help. Connecting to other servers through gamespy or directly does work beautifully! So the problem must be with the fs.open servers Paul |
Joe Clifford ![]() 3rd Jul 2011 20:34:55 | Hello.
I strongly doubt that it's the Server. We have many members that connect directly to the server from many countries across the world, so if it was the server we would know by now. You may find your network does not like the ports (even though I thought they wasn't necessary anymore) you may need to play with your router (if you have one) and port forward so they can pass through. Some routers let you set ip's to let straight through aswell. Worth a try. Joe |

Check you have service pack 1 and 2 installed for fsx. |
Gordon Thorpe 5th Jul 2011 22:57:32 | check that you have changed the plane, as the standard one is a microlite & they are banned & will send you straight out of the server before you spawn |
