Found this nice little FREE program and it is very well suppoprted by its author Andrew Thorton.

What does it do:
1. Allows you to repair errors in scenery.cfg
2. Allows grouping of scenery files (eg Europe, USA, etc)
3. Allows very easy to change scenery priorties either individualy or by group.
4. Allows you to active only the scenery that you want for you flight (ie just Europe)
5. reduces loading times

The link:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/fs-sceditor/files/

I have found it very useful and I have only have 680 scenery enteries.

any questions let me know

Clive, I'm a computer biff - is this program easy to use and understand or is there potential to screw up my whole FSX world?

The only thing I'd need something like this for is to update any navaid frequencies, runway designators and so on that change over a period of time. Something like the EGNH NDB frequency for example - at the moment I have to set it as 420MHz but the rw freq is 318. EGNO in my FSX RW26/08 and rw it's now 25/07. Are these changes straight forward with this software?

Thanks, M

this software will not allow you to change airport afcad files.
All this does is to make life very easy in managing you scenery.cfg file.
It's the file that you see when yo ugo to scenery library and on that screen you see the list of scenery that you have installed and the priority they are 1 to in my case 681

It also allows groups of scenery which yo ucan switch on and off as you see fit before starting FSX.

SO, in a nut shell its a 'scenery library manager'

Hope that help

Now if my internet connecr stays up I will be aat the flyin tonight

Mick

Just checked EGNH NDB Freq and it is 318 on my system

Yes, EGNO RW is 26/08 on my system to, but Aivlasoft EFB has flagged that and there is a way of updating it, which is very easy. I have done this and now have the correct EGNO runways.

Thanks for pointing that out for EGNO, never flown there, but at least its now upto date, when I do
