| SPECIAL EVENT SUNDAY APRIL 8TH | |
Gordon Thorpe  29th Mar 2012 17:03:07 | we have invited another v. a. to fly with us on this night, they are going to bring at least 10 of there pilots to join us
it is phoenix freight & charter, run by an old friend of mine Pete Gardner. we will be doing a goffa fly together, inc some formation & mass atc. at the end. because of so many expected in the server it will be default 737 only, if you are going to come along please let me no to give me an idea of how many to expect. thanks goffa |

starting at 7.30 t/o 8pm LIMC-EGCC,this is a vafs event & all of the pilots in the v. a. that fly will be expected to do a v.a. flight. members who are not in the v.a. are still welcome. default 737 only, & if you have the fs open skin please use it as the other VA will be using there's , so we can see them in there own skins they have allowed us to download there skin & vice verse. this will look really good on the film we will be making of the event, there skin will be put on the website as soon as we have it.at the end we will have mass a.t.c. this will be done by one of there guys who is a military a.t.c. in real life & has a lot of experience in bringing planes in very close to each other. THIS IS TAKING A LOT OF ORGANIZING SO PLEASE SUPPORT US & MAKE IT THE BEST EVENT WE HAVE HAD GOFFA |

Please download this is a self extracting installer just run and it will install directly into your FSX simobjects file. Simples. |

| Gordon Thorpe 1st Apr 2012 11:20:10 | as it looks like we are going to be very bizzy, so it has been decided to run it on a closed session, the password will be given out on sunday morning.there will not be a lot of time to answer questions, so here are a few details , t/o from limc, line up on runways (2) set your plane like this.
altitude 20,000 climb rate 1800 speed in box 300, fuel 60%'direct gps to egcc. TAKE OFF PROCEDURE as soon as the plane in front of you is rolling you start (do not wait for the other plane to lift off)as soon as you are of the ground press Z(auto pilot) then G (gear up) F6 a few times (flaps up) in 2d panel switch on auto speed click to GPS & NAV SWITCH. do all this as fast as you can & we should all be very close together while we are climbing & will give us a lot more time to do some formation flying. LANDING atc will call us out 1 by 1 from about 100 miles out from egcc, please listen carefully & do exactly what he says, there will be no time for repeat questions,he is going to attempt to get aprox 30 planes to land on 2 runways all within half a mile behind each other & it only needs 1 pilot to go wrong to mess it up, remember we have an ATC.that does it in real life for the military. please put the t/o sett up on paper & have it ready for the event, DO NOT FORGET TO SET YOUR VAFS RUNNING FLIGHT NO EVENT 1 THANKS GOFFA |

I have taken the infomation above and put it all into a PDF document that you can download from here www.fsopen.co.uk/openpilots/va/Event Details.pdf It also contain infomation on Frequencies for Both COMS and NAV Within the Document are links to both the FSOpen 737 Livery and the Phoenix 737 Livery. Both of which are now hosted on the FSOpen Website so no need to signup to 4Shared as previous. Hope That makes Sense. Joe |

the server will be reset about 6pm Sunday & will open as a password session , the password will be posted in team speak after 6pm.the weather will be set to fair weather. the team to run the event is as follows t/o & formation leader Gordon Thorpe formation controller Andy Mooring atc by phoenix a.t.c. controller film director Geoff Server ALL FS OPEN PILOTS WILL BE EXPECTED TO DO A VAFS FLIGHT AS THIS IS A VAFS EVENT NIGHT if you are not a vafs pilot you are still welcome to fly with us GOFFA |
