| NEW CARGO CONTRACT | |
Gordon Thorpe 14th May 2012 14:53:28 | the last contract was completed 3 days early so we have been given another one.
we are going to do all the cargo needed for an Everest climb. the 737 will take cargo to the bottom base camp & the 1900c will take cargo to the nearest airport to base camp 1 this time we are transporting cargo both ways. it will be night time in the server from 6PM i think so its better to try to t/o in the daytime, the 1900 flight will be very challenging GOFFA |
Graeme Brown ![]() 14th May 2012 15:42:33 | I guess the base camp airport would be the infamous Lukla. It's a tough place to get in and out of. Youtube has some amazing videos. |
Zack Iddo ![]() 14th May 2012 18:33:52 | How the hell are you meant to get out of lukla in a 737 ? |
Joe Clifford ![]() 15th May 2012 06:10:57 | Zack,
It is possible! Geoff (I think) or maybe or was Karl, either way we spent some time there in the 737. It's not easy and is a close shave but not impossible. What is alot more difficult is landing there! Joe |
Zack Iddo ![]() 15th May 2012 08:34:39 | I had 20 % fuel and i was right back nearly off the cliff and ran the engines up to full N1 still could get off |
Joe Clifford ![]() 15th May 2012 09:36:39 | I'm guessing it's the NGX your using. I havnt tried the NGX I used the default 737. Could be a factor |
Gordon Thorpe 15th May 2012 12:15:54 | sorry i put the wrong route on for the 737
i have now put the right one on goffa |
Zack Iddo ![]() 15th May 2012 12:40:32 | Thought you had |
Craig Noble ![]() 16th May 2012 12:39:27 | im at work can some post up the routes please. |
Gordon Thorpe 17th May 2012 16:54:11 | zlll-vegt 737 plus return
vegt-vnlk 1900c plus return |
Geoff Server ![]() 18th May 2012 09:36:03 | Really good lukla scenery it moves the airport to the right location so, if anyone uses it and other stick with the old default FSX scenery they wil not be at the same location well worth getting.

Karl Arney ![]() 19th May 2012 20:42:58 | As Joe said, I have spent a lot of time at Lukla, with a variety of aircraft. Yes it is possible to get a 737 in and out, but it's not easy. Also, there is not a lot of space there, so if you're going to take a 737 in, turn your crash setting off. |
