Hi guys. Just a quick sorry to all for the quick disappearance from the EGBB session yesterday but my CPU overheated dodgy heatsink (98 degrees dodgy heatsink)haha oops. Hopefully sorted now tho

hi sounds like a fan issue not the heatsink the only time a heatsink overloads a cpu is if the fan is not cooling it down

That was what I thought to start with but the fan working fine and all was clean. Turned out the heat sink compound had dried up & caused the heatsink to lose efficiency but only under heavy usage. Ran fine other times. All sorted now and back running normal hopefully. Seems stable so far.
