| Slight update to flight strip software | |
Dave Wave ![]() 14th Feb 2010 18:13:41 | Two things added.
1. Squawk code generator. This new control is at the bottom of the active tower list. At start up this will start with a random number and pushing the button will incrememnt code by one. I got fed up writing down numbers! You can right or left click each digit to change the starting number if desired. 2. Callsign lookup. Some of the pilots out their refuse to download the airline.cfg file and just set their callsign as their tail number. I've given up trying to get you all round to my way of thinking so I've added a callsign lookup to the software. In the popup that displays over the callsign, if no airline is entered then I'll try and lookup the airline from the first 3 characters of the tail number. The airline name and the callsign is then displayed in the pop up box. This does mean anyone using the code BVA is in danger of being called "Buffalo Air" !!! |
Mick McG ![]() 17th Feb 2010 22:35:22 | Hi Dave,
Unfortunately I haven't seen the new version yet but these updates sound very sensible so well done! As you know, I think this is a giant leap ahead compared to other servers and I was wondering if it would be possible to make the window containing it all more flexible with regard to resizing? I've just got the one screen in my set-up and when I'm controlling I'd like to be able to reduce the width of the window a little more so I can keep it on the screen but not have it dominate the display. Of course, I've no idea if this is feasible but you always seem to be able to make a silk purse from a sows ear so I thought I'd ask! :) Keep up the excellent work mate. Best regards, Mick |

Seriously consider buying another screen if your graphics card has two outputs. It's well worth it, not just for fsx. |
