Fred Parkinson 17th Feb 2010 20:08:43 | I have been asked about pushing back and turning at the same time so I though I would post some info about how I do it.
Firstly download a free program callerd FSCOPILOT (google) and install it.Make sure you get the version for FSX. Once installed open FSX and go to addons. Click on FSCOPILOT and from the drop down menu Click on MINI LAUNCHER. A small blue menu bar will open and on the bar are the letters PB, click on this and a window opens to allow you to set the distance and angle of the push back. Make sure your throttles are at minimum and park brakes off An added little bonus is you get the ground controller talking to you and a push back tug attatches to the nose wheel. Hops this helps Enjoy!! |
Richard Stuchfield 17th Feb 2010 20:30:54 | sounds like a nice little utility - I'll have to check it out.
For basic FSX functionality though, once you've initiated the pushback (SHIFT +P i think), you just press number '1' on your keyboard (not the numpad) to make your tail go left on the pushback and number '2' to make the tail go right. Do it pretty quickly once you've pushed back otherwise you'll find you only go straight backwards. Limitation to this is that it only turns you 90 degrees. Of course you can stop it before you get the full 90 if you want but you won't have been pushed back as far as perhaps you expected. Richard |

Dave Wave ![]() 18th Feb 2010 17:30:39 | One day I might put a pushback feature into pilot assistant.

Ronnie Glackin ![]() 18th Feb 2010 18:03:16 | dave you might as well make pilot assistant fsx worth £50 coz it gets better every week |
Harry Tarling ![]() 18th Feb 2010 19:27:34 | Fred it's all good and well offering this programme but it's not avaliable anymore. I have been looking for it for years and got no where. |
Dave Wave ![]() 18th Feb 2010 19:37:20 | It could be in Pilot assistant very soon.
I was thinking of letting user use default shift+P to start/stop pushback as normal. I'd then map some other keys so if you were holding them down you would turn left/right. That way you have full control as you push back, even turning left for a bit then right etc. I think this is a better solution as you wouldn't have to leave fsx to do this. |
Fred Parkinson 18th Feb 2010 21:35:49 | Hi Harry,
Cannot understand how you couldnt find it! It is still available and has just been upgraded. Try this link http://www.simmiles.com/airline/fsinn-fscopilot.php Westie |
