Rich Boult ![]() 20th Feb 2010 12:34:06 | Hi Dean, For what it's worth, I run TrafficX too and I am not aware that it works on line. I think it's disabled in the same way default AI is.
If there is a way to view AI whilst online it would be good to know, but I think my computer would throw in the towl for good given the the work load it does already!! |

You can create multiplayer traffic by coding your self but this becomes visible to all other players in the game. Once you leave the game the ai traffic remains and the planes will continue to fly forever like a Zombie! This is what happens with gliders and the spawning Maules in effect which is why they are auto kicked in our sessions. I did play for some time creating AI traffic on the server with some limited success, however n multiplayer mode, the ai traffic refuse to work as normal. In a single player mode you can program a plane using simconnect to fly a flightplan. The plane will taxi, depart, navigate and land at the destination under its own control. In multiplayer mode the plane will taxi take off and fly in a straight line climbing forever. Further planes will taxi to the same runway but will never take off. This is a pic of a queue of 737s that will sit there forever!
AI traffic doesn't make sense in multiplay mode, and the normal features for controlling this are disabled in this mode. It is possible to manualy control planes within 200 miles of the host but it's a lot to ask of the server which is why I stopped this project. |
