SO HACKED OFF HOW MANY TIMES DO POEPLE HAVE TO ASK FOR HELP!!!!you always say help is available and it happens... SOME TIMES... its all good and well saying its in the advert, but no back up...maybee need some sort of intro to the game, and the settings everyone needs just to begin with at least? .....plz lets not make it a clicky crew so people feel pushed away and dont fit in with the normall crew....seems there is a pecking order and im on the bottom with the others

hi dean sorry you have not got help fast enough it comes eventually & not in a pecking order. i am on team speak from aprox 7pm-12pm every nigght & spend most of my time soughting out problems,i try to take 1 pilot at a time so as to give him my full attention, this takes time & due to our sucssess there is a backlog of new pilots with problems ,& all the managment team are trying hard to please everybody, please be patient, you will find ord.members will be able to answer most of your ? do ask them as we all try to help each other

Deano, I'm not a manager or anything to do with FSOpen other than a normal member like you. I've got to say it though mate, I think you're bang out of order! I'm sorry you're having trouble, but the way your post is phrased is more likely to P!$$ the guys who can help you off more than get them to help you. Remember that you haven't paid a bean to part of this, so be polite when you need a hand. Look at the amount of work the "management" dedicate to this community before you go off on one.

I hope you get the problem sorted but I also hope the tone of your next post is a more constructive. I for one would bother my @r$£ giving help who anyone who ranted at me in the way it seems to me that you were. If I've got the wrong end of the stick, I apologise in advance, but manners cost nothing - just like this server!

Management, keep up the good work - most of us realise you do a great job for no return and it really is appreciated.

Hi Dean.

Sorry you're having trouble but what is the problem. Your post didn't indicate what sort of issue you're experiencing. It's hard to either help you or point you in the direction where you could find help.

that last comment isn't helping Dean. You are complaining about not getting help although you still haven't said what the problem is. And then you're having a go at potential sources of help. It isn't just the management that can help you. There are plenty of people in the FsOpen community that are willing to help.

Now then, before this all gets out of hand; Deano, I reckon if we were having this conversation in the bar it would be the same words but said with good humour and plenty of banter. Am I right? I didn't mean to lecture you, as I'm sure you didn't mean anything in your reply. So no hard feelings, eh? I genuinely do hope that what ever it was you need a hand with gets sorted quickly. Ok, enough said. Got to get back to my job as negotiator in the at the diplomatic office ;-)

I don’t often post negative on the FSopen forum but this time I am really upset by these posts and the sniping of some of posts here.

I think it about time on this forum that there is a reality check for some people who are quite frankly bang out of order on some of the posts I have seen over the past months.

All users of FSopen are invited as GUESTS of the hardworking team managers) who keep FSopen running (FOR FREE) and as such will some of you guests start acting like guests not as though it is there god given right to be here,saying what ever you want, and acting as if you were paying for the service and expect some sort of service level!

You are not forced to be here and as FSopen is one of the most open, friendly sessions out there on FSX you are lucky to be part of it and you should appreciate it and be grateful, as I am, to be allowed to be part of this.

I know that all of the mangers spend hours of there FREE time trying to make FSopen even better and quite frankly show some appreciation and respect to these hard working guys. So, if you do not like it and can’t act like a mature person just go away and find another on-line session!

Geoff, for my part I'm sorry if I've caused offence to anyone. I think some of the comments may have been misinterpreted as can sometimes happen on message forums and the like such as this. By way of explanation, my reply to Dean's original post was perhaps somewhat patronising and it shouldn't have been, although I stand by the sentiment. It was a reaction not unlike yours. I wanted all readers of the thread (not just Dean) to remember that this is a free service and that demanding an immediate response to an unspecified snag is unreasonable. Dean will respond for himself I'm sure, but I want you and the rest of FSOpen community to know that I fully support your efforts and those of all the guys that make this work for the rest of us.
