Tam Spiers 15th Mar 2010 09:08:10 | how do u get more stripes as pilot iv been flying flight sim for years is thare a test i need to do to get promotion humberside.uk |
Richard Stuchfield 15th Mar 2010 09:58:31 | There is nothing specific other than participating in sessions with management who have the ability to promote you. Just mention it to one of the managers when they are around and subject to them witnessing suitable flying skills, they can promote you.
It's probably just a case of not noticing what level you are at the moment and what they've seen you doing recently |
James Monckton ![]() 15th Mar 2010 11:37:26 | Any ATCO can premote your pilot rank (up to there ATC rank) just start flying and make sure you ask them to cover Taxi/Hold points, NDBs VORs, ILS, SIDs and STARs
I believe I have tried premoting you before Tam, make sure your gamespy or dc connection name is correct on your website settings, sometimes the ranks don't show up on strips, this is usuallyt the reason. |
Clifford Pratley 15th Mar 2010 13:16:04 | Maybe putting a note after your waypoints in your flightplan that you wish this flight to be graded by ATC controller's for the purpose of promotion would work... Then after handoff they can report on the pilots prformance ... |
Dave Wave ![]() 15th Mar 2010 16:26:50 | Clifford, simple but brilliant idea.
Despite encouraging ATC to rank pilots I often forget to do it myself. All ATC see these notes and this is a great way to remind ATC that you's like a change in your skill level. Please remember everyone, the rankings are not there for your ego, its so ATC understand your skill level and issue appropriate actions. Tam, I've seen you fly so I've changed your ranking. Please don't use this forum for these requests, lets try Clifford's idea. |
