Saving files to FSX

Moving swiftly on from the previous thread,

On trying to save files to FSX, firstly on opening files to insert new data they are read only and consequently when saving the error message "You don’t have permission to save to this location" appears thus the new data is not saved, I would be obliged for assistance as the self depicting term Moron most definitely applies in my instance Regards

I know if you are using vista and need to add to the cfg file, you firstly need to move the cfg out of its original location and place for e.g on the desktop allowing the cfg now open to editing.

On vista if you are editing an aircraft .cfg file you have to open notepad in admin mode then open the .cfg through notepad to be able to edit and save the changes.
