Sam Watson  8th Aug 2010 10:04:02 | I am trying to connect to VATSIM for the first time and I am having some problems so I was wondering if you guys could help me.
i have my VATSIM ID and Password and I have downloaded FSInn and FSCopilot sucessfully and they appear in FSX, I have also put all the information necessary into the settings part of the FSInn control panel but when I come back out of it to click VATSIM and try to connect the button lights up but then goes offline 10 seconds later... and I get no green bar along the top of the screen to say I am connected to VATSIM. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Sam |
Dave Nelson2  8th Aug 2010 10:15:24 | I once flew vatsim regularly with vista ..but then suddenly fsinn/co pilot stopped working ... I re loaded them several times and updated to the latest but still nothing....from what i have learnt the majority on vat still fly fs9 which seems stable. pity because it is very realistic.
Like yourself Sam i am curious to know if any use vatsim with vista. Dave |

| Dave Nelson2 8th Aug 2010 13:03:07 | fsinn was working fine for a few months with my vista but suddenly stopped.. i have heard people speak of squakbox but i have not tried it to date so unsure.. worth a try i guess.. i may try the same shortly.. hope you find a way in it is very good. |

Connor Diver  8th Aug 2010 21:56:36 | I have flown on Vatsim before but its so much hastle I stopped. Dont use SquawkBox whatever you do! It slows down your Flight Sim so much its unbelievable!
FSinn is more comlicated but faster! TBh i would rather fly with FSopen ATC than Vatim. Its alot less hastle. Adam Sleith 14th Aug 2010 08:07:06 | Yeah I tried VATSIM. It's a bit of a hassle. You programme your flight plan with routes and stuff. But there's hardly any ATC online.
And I hate having to type my flight progress in the chat on the unicom It's so annoying. you don't do that in real life and it doesn't give you an option (although I use SquawkBox because I have the same problem with FSINN). I really can't be bothered with it now. Adam |
